How-to's Install Docker Engine
1. Set up the Docker's apt repository
  1. # Add Docker's official GPG key:
  2. sudo apt-get update
  3. sudo apt-get install ca-certificates curl
  4. sudo install -m 0755 -d /etc/apt/keyrings
  5. sudo curl -fsSL https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu/gpg -o /etc/apt/keyrings/docker.asc
  6. sudo chmod a+r /etc/apt/keyrings/docker.asc
  1. # Add the repository to Apt sources:
  2. echo \
      "deb [arch=$(dpkg --print-architecture) signed-by=/etc/apt/keyrings/docker.asc] https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu \

      sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/docker.list > /dev/null
  3. sudo apt-get update
2. Install the Docker packages
  1. # Install the latest version
  2. sudo apt-get install docker-ce docker-ce-cli containerd.io docker-buildx-plugin docker-compose-plugin
3. Start the Docker daemon (service)
  1. sudo service docker start
 * Starting Docker: docker                                                      [ OK ]
4. Verify the Docker Engine installation
  1. docker --version
